The name
of Delhi, the Capital of india, may originate from the
Persian word Dahleez or from the name of a Mauryan king,
Raja Dhillu. The people of Delhi are known as Delhi-ites.
It has been the "capital of seven empires" in Indian
history and as per the Archaeological Survey of India,
has over 60,000 recognized monuments built over several
millennia. The first city of Delhi is believed to be
founded by the Pandavas of the Mahabharata around 3000
BC. Delhi has a semi-arid climate with high variation
between summer and winter temperatures. The summers are
long, starting in early April and lasting till October
with the rainy season in between.

The Bahai Temple,

Rayseena hill it is spread over an area of 330 acres. As the
official residence of the President of India it is one of the famous

The weather in
the New Delhi area is heavily affected by the monsoon, which
