Taj Mahal Agra Fort Fatehpur Sikri

Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the eight wonders of the world.Taj Mahal is built entirely of white marblel. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife and queen Mumtaz Mahal at Agra.

The magnificent towers, bastions, ramparts, and gateways of the Agra Fort symbolize the stature and power of Mughal Emperor Akbar. The Agra fort is built alongside the Yamuna river and stretches almost 2.5 km. The Fort was built between 1565 and 1571 AD.
 

The city of Fatehpur Sikri is located at a distance of 40 km from Agra. The city was built to symbolize the power of Akbar's empire.The grand monuments in Fatehpur Sikri are Panch Mahal, the Buland Darwaza, a prayer hall for the new religion called Din-i-Illahi started by Akbar.
 

Sikandra Mariyam’s Tomb Ram Bagh

The tomb of Emperor Akbar presents a perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Its construction got completed in 1613 A.D. and has been retained in its best possible form. It is also open for the tourists from dawn to dusk.
 

This unique tomb in red sandstone was built in 1611 A.D. in memory of Emperor Akbars Goan Christian wife-Mariyam. The tomb has some exceptional carvings.

One of the earliest Mughal gardens, it was laid out by Emperor Babar-the founder of the Mughal dynasty. It is said that Babar was temporarily buried here before being permanently interred at Kabul in Afghanistan.
